Failure Types

Failure analysis includes a grouping mechanism (Failure Type) for the possible reasons why an Asset Component has failed and the Asset is not operational.

How to… View Failure Types

Click Main Menu → Asset Care Plans → Failure Analysis → Failure Types → Show Browse Window () to open the Failure Types browse window.

Notes:

A Failure Type is never selected; it is automatically linked to the selected Failure.
Failure Types influence the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and Overall Plant Performance (OPP) calculations.
