Purpose
The purpose of the Asset Care Plan Developer (ACPD) business process is to develop or improve asset care plans (collection of tactical tasks) on physical assets, by using appropriate methodologies in accordance with asset risk.
· ACPs (Asset Care Plans) are based on a scientific evaluation of Asset-related risk and Failure profiles.
· ACPs are based on effective and optimal maintenance tactics (optimum mix of usage-based and condition-based tasks).
· Defining skills and resources ensures effective planning and scheduling of tactical work.
Key Points
· A Criticality Analysis is done on the appropriate Asset register level (ie asset type, asset, sub-assembly, functional unit).
· A plan is developed from the Criticality Analysis for the development for ACPs.
