Meter - Details tab

Purpose

Record details about the unit of measurement used to record meter readings and how the Average Daily Rate should be calculated.

Data fields

These data fields are captured on the Meter - Details tab.

Field	Description/Setting
Details
Unit of Measurement	The unit of measurement that is used to count. Examples are Hours worked, Units produced, Kilometres travelled or distance in Metres.
Main Meter	If the user enables this check box, the Meter will be deemed to be a Main Meter.
Average Daily Rate
Calculate Automatically	Ticked if the Meter’s Average Daily Rate is calculated automatically when a Meter Reading is added. Not ticked if the Meter’s Average Daily Rate is calculated using the Adjust Average Daily Rate tool.
Readings to use	If Calculate Automatically is ticked (true) then Readings to use defaults to “5” readings, and can be changed.
Rate	The current Average Daily Rate.
Reading Summary
Cumulative Reading	The count for all Meters that have been attached to the Asset.
Last Reading	The count on the Meter when the last reading was recorded.
Last Reading Date	The date that the last reading was recorded.
Last Reset Reading	The count that the Meter was reset to.
Last Reset Date	The date that the Meter's count was last reset.

Please note!

All readings and rates are displayed with four (4) decimal positions.
If the users sets a Meter as a Main Meter, the system will check if it violates the Asset Meter rule that you may not have more than one Main Meter linked to an Asset. If the changing of a Main Meter state does result in an Asset that now has more than one Main Meter, the following error will be displayed:
