Asset Functionality

Tools in the Asset Tree

Tools in the Asset Tree toolbar are grouped by functionality, and are enabled or disabled depending on the item that is highlighted.

The following tools are available in the toolbar on the Asset Tree window.

Click…	To…
	Asset Functionality The following options are available: Add a New Asset Add a Work Order for the Asset
	Component Functionality The following options are available: Add a New Component Add a New Component Placeholder
	Task Functionality The following options are available: Add a New Task for the Component Link an existing Standard Tasks to the Component Break the Link to a Standard Task
	Browse Functionality The following options are available: Assets Components Tasks, Task Spares, Task Labour records, Task Scenarios or Task Special Resources
	Display Option Functionality The following options are available: View the Legend View and change the Display Options Go to my Default Asset Go one level up in the Asset Tree Set the selected Asset as the Root Asset
	Development functionality The following options are available for the Asset Type: Accept Development Reject Development Synchronise

Non-standard tools

These non-standard tools are available on the Asset edit window.

	Change the Site for an Asset
	Change the Asset Type on which the Asset is based
	Add a Work Order for the Asset
	Add a new Asset on the same level in the tree structure
	Add a new Asset one level below in the tree structure
	Development Functionality

Shortcuts

A shortcut is available for standard functionality.

Press the specified keys at the same time to use the shortcut to add a new record or refresh, delete or edit the selected record in a browse window; refresh, save, add or delete the record in an edit window; view linked detail records windows (1 - 9) from an edit window.
