Asset Importance

Purpose

An Asset's Importance value identifies how important it is to repair the Asset if it breaks down.

An Importance is assigned to Assets so that Work Orders for the Assets can be prioritised in terms of how urgent the work is.

How to… View Asset Importances

1.   Click Asset Register - Asset Configuration - Asset Importances then .
The Asset Importances browse window opens.

Implementation Guidelines

Develop an importance structure to define the varying levels of urgency.

These are possible Importance structures and values.

• A “1” to “10” scale of urgency, where “1” is most urgent.
• Low, Medium, High, Very High or Critical.
• “1D” for an importance of less than 1 day (ASAP), “3D” for importance < 3 days, etc.
