Purpose

Identify a Component Placeholder or Component for an Asset Type or Asset.

Description/Setting

Header

 

Code

The code that identifies an original Component is unique.

The code that identifies an inherited Component is the same Code as its ancestor Component in the Asset Type Tree.
For example “*1115” or “MOTOR01.

Description

A short description of the Component.
For example “Casing” or “Motor No 1”.

Alternative Description

 

This description is displayed in the Asset Tree and on Work Orders, and can be translated into one of the Standard Languages via a Standard Phrase.

Site

The Site where the Component is located.

A User with access rights to this Site can view and use this Component.

Select a non-virtual Site from the lookup list.

Sequence Number

The sequence in which the Component appears in a list of Components with the same parent and at the same level in an Asset Type or Asset tree structure.

Active

Ticked if the Component is active and available in the Component lookup list.

An inactive Component:

  • Is not available in a lookup list.

  • Is displayed in grey italics in the Asset Tree if the applicable Display Option is selected.

Status

 

Inheritance Type

The origin of the Asset Component indicates how the Component came into existence and its current configuration.

Possible values are “Original” or “Inherited”.

Development Status

The Component's development status.
For example, “New - Under Development”.

Last Accepted / Rejected on

The date on which the Component's development was accepted or rejected.

Synchronisation Status in the Asset Type Tree

Rules Last Changed On

The date on which the Rules for the Asset Type Component were changed.

Synchronisation Status in the Asset Tree

Ancestor confirmed on

The date on which development changes were accepted for the Asset Type Component from which the Asset Component is inherited.

Synchronised with Type Object

The most recent date on which the Asset Component was synchronised with the Asset Type Component from which it is inherited.

Ancestor Rules Last Changed On

The most recent date on which Rules for the ancestor Asset Type Component were changed.

Rules Last Evaluated On

The most recent date on which Rules for the Asset Type Component were evaluated.

Rule Evaluation Passed

Ticked if the Component passed the Rule Evaluation and is applicable for the Asset.
