Configure Asset Type models

Purpose

Configure Asset Type models in a hierarchical tree structure called the Asset Type Tree.

How to… Configure an Asset Type model in the Asset Type Tree

1.   Click Asset Register - Asset Type Tree then click .
The Asset Type Tree window opens.

2.   Click the Asset Type to which an Asset Type model will be added.

3.   Add an Asset Type.

4.   Add an In-place Asset Type to the Asset Type if applicable/required.

5.   Add an Asset Type Placeholder to the Asset Type if applicable/required.

6.   Add a Linked Asset Type to the Asset Type if applicable/required.

7.   Add one or more Components to the Asset Type.

8.   Add a Component to the Component if applicable/required.

9.   Add a Component Placeholder to the Component if applicable/required.

10. Add a Component Placeholder to the Asset Type if applicable/required.

11. Add one or more Tasks to each Component.

12. Add one or more Tasks to the Asset Type if applicable.

13. Refresh the Asset Type model and expand the tree structure to view all the items.

On Key master data

Add these Asset Register mandatory data items for the business processes identified in this table.
(Legend: l = Initial configuration; ¢ = Additional configuration).
