Link Scenarios to Tasks

Purpose

Specify the Scenarios that determine when the Task is performed.

How to… Activate or Deactivate the Scenario that applies to a Task

1. Click the Labour and Scenarios button in the toolbar on the edit window.
The Labour and Scenarios for Asset Task or Asset Type Task window opens.

2. Select the Scenarios tab

3. Select the Scenario to be activated or deactivated.

4. Double-click on Active to change its setting.

5. Save the record.

Data fields

These data fields are captured or displayed on the Scenarios for Asset Type Task or Asset Task window.

Field	Description/Setting
Development Status	The development status of the Scenario for Standard Task linked detail record.
Inheritance Type	The Inheritance Type indicates how the Scenario for Task linked detail record came into existence. Possible values are “Original” or “Inherited”.
Active	Ticked if the Scenario for Standard Task linked detail record is active.
Scenario	The code and description for a Scenario.
Interval	The Interval for Calendar based and Usage based Tasks is updated when the Task’s (Task) Interval Type is changed.

Please note!

Linked detail records are only available after the Task is saved.
By default all Scenarios are linked to the Task; the Scenarios that do not apply must be deactivated.
The Scenario Interval for Calendar and Usage Based Tasks can be changed, and is updated when the Task’s (Task) Interval Type is changed.
