Synchronise Asset Components

Purpose

Synchronise confirmed changes for an inherited Asset Component with its corresponding Asset Type Component.

How to… Synchronise an Asset Component with its Asset Type Component

1. Open the Asset Component edit window.

2. Click then Synchronise.
The Synchronise dialog box opens.

3. Click Yes.

As a result...

Confirmed changes for the corresponding Asset Type Component and its linked detail records are applied to the Asset Component and its linked detail records.
The Development Status of the inherited Asset Component in the Asset Tree is “Modified - Awaiting Confirmation”.
Use Development functionality tools to accept or reject the proposed changes for inherited items.
Synchronise Up To and Rules Last Evaluated On are updated on an inherited Asset Component’s Header tab.
The parent As+
et’s Option Values are used to evaluate new and changed Rules for the ancestor Asset Type Component and determine whether the inherited Component is added in the Asset model.
Rule Evaluation Passed on an inherited Asset Component’s Header tab is ticked if the rule evaluation for the Asset Component was successful.
