Use the Grouping Interval to group Tasks

Before you start

How to… Use the Grouping Interval to group an Asset’s Tasks

1.   Click Maintenance Manager - Planning - Proposed Work Orders then .
The Generate Proposed Work Orders Filter window opens.

2.   Select the filter, split and grouping criteria.
Adjust the Grouping Interval (days) on the Combination Options tab if required.
For example, specify “7” days to group a week’s Tasks with the same standard filter, split and combination options on one Proposed Work Order.
Ensure that the Starting From date for the Grouping Interval (days) will identify the ideal day of the week for the first Task to be grouped; in most cases this is a Monday for all Tasks for that week.

3.   Click Generate.

As a result…

For example, weekly Tasks currently fall due on Wednesday and monthly Tasks fall due on Monday. The weekly and monthly Tasks should be on the same Proposed Work Order because the machine is down anyway for the whole week.
