Asset Type Edit Window

Purpose

Add or modify the information for an Asset Type Folder, Asset Type, In-Place Asset Type, Asset Type Placeholder, or Linked Asset Type.

How to… Open an Asset Type edit window

1.   Click Asset Register - Asset Type Tree then .
 The Asset Type Tree window opens.

2.   Expand the tree structure and highlight the required Asset Type.

3.   Double-click on the required Asset Type.
The Asset Type edit window opens.

How to… Find an Asset Type in the Asset Type edit window

1.   The Search box has focus when the window opens, otherwise click in the Search box in the toolbar on the edit window.

2.   Type the Asset Type Code in the Search box.

3.   Click .

How to… Look up an Asset Type

1.   Click  next to the Asset Type on an edit window, or in the Asset Type field on a grid edit window.
The Asset Type lookup window opens.

     

2.   Select the required Asset Type.

3.   Click OK.
The Asset Type code is populated in the edit window or grid edit window.
