Codes

The following rules apply to the Code data field on most windows:

• Codes can only be entered and searched for in upper case.
• Codes cannot start with “*”.
• Spaces are not allowed before and after the code.
• Spaces are allowed within the code, for example, “A E 1001”.

Note: The only exception to this rule is the Unit of Measure Code, which is case sensitive to comply with the ISO Standards.
