Cost Elements

Purpose

Cost Elements are the types of costs that can be incurred for a Cost Centre; they provide a breakdown of costs such as labour, entertainment, stationery, materials and petrol and are used to cost Work Orders.

How to… View Cost Elements

1.   Click Financials - Cost Elements then  Browse.

    The Cost Elements browse window opens.

Business rules

• A Cost Element cannot be deleted if it is assigned to Work Orders that require labour, materials or other resources (because an item that is linked to another item cannot be deleted until the link between the two items is removed).
