Preconfigured Reasons

You can create preconfigured reasons that Work Manager users can select when performing certain actions in the app. You can create two types of reasons:

Preconfigured reason functionality can be accessed using the Work Order Preconfigured Reasons browse window. This window can be accessed by selecting Main MenuMaintenance ManagerWork Order ConfigurationPreconfigured Reasons.

To create a preconfigured reason, you need to do the following:

  1. Open the Work Order Preconfigured Reasons browse window.

  2. Click the Insert New Record () button on the toolbar to open the edit window.

  3. Complete the following fields on the Header tab.



    Field

    Description

    Code A unique code that identifies the reason in On Key.
    Description A brief description for the reason.
    Site The site at which the contact is used.
    Active Indicates whether the contact is available for use in On Key.

    Classification

    Indicates the type of reason. The two classifications are:

    • Pause — reasons with this classification can be selected as a reason for pausing work orders that are in progress.
    • Scan Skip — reasons with this classification can be selected as a reason for bypassing the 'scan to start' functionality.

    Sequence Number

    The sequence in which the reason appears in a list of reasons.
  4. Click the Save Changes () button.
