Bright Yellow

Data is mandatory and must be filled in.

Yellow is the default background colour but a user can specify another colour.

Light Grey

Data is displayed and editing is disabled.

The label and data value are displayed in light grey (greyed-out).

The data value changes as a result of editing elsewhere in the system.

For example, the Staff Member’s Description on the Staff Member edit window is displayed and disabled after it is saved so that it can’t be edited.

Dark Grey

Data is displayed and read-only.

The data value is displayed in black text on a grey background and can be copied.

Double-click on the data value to open the applicable edit window.

For example, the Site Currency on the Staff Member’s Maintenance Manager tab.

Pale Red

The data is not valid and must be corrected before the record can be saved.
