Events

Purpose

Events are used when scheduling or planning work to group Work Order Tasks that should be executed or suppressed on a specific date.

How to… View Events

1.   Click Asset Care Plans - Scheduling Configuration - Events then .
The Events browse window opens.

As a result…

• The Event is available in the Events lookup list.

Business rules

• An Event cannot be deleted if it is linked to a Work Order or any other item.
• If an Event Date is changed and Adjust Work Orders on the Event - Details tab is ticked then:
• • the Required by date for all open Work Orders (with Base Status “Awaiting Approval” or “Approved”) that are linked to the Event is changed to the date of the Event, and
  •  the Last Service Date for all normal WO Tasks (for all open Work Orders with Base Status “Awaiting Approval” or “Approved”, including Sub-Tasks and Follow Up Tasks) is changed to the date of the Event.

Please note!

• Events are a once-off occurrence.
• If an Event recurs every year then the date of the Event must be adjusted every year, or a “Yearly” Task must be created that will be triggered each year on the specified date.
