Add Cost Elements

Purpose

Add a Cost Element to identify a type of cost.

How to… Add a Cost Element

1.   Click Financials - Cost Elements then  Edit.
The Cost Element edit window opens.

    

2.   Click + in the toolbar.

3.   Enter the required data on the applicable tabs.
Header
Notes, if required.

4.   Save the record.

5.   Select the Attributes and Documents that are linked to the Cost Element.

Data fields

These data fields are captured on the Cost Element - Header tab.

Field

Description

Code

A unique code to identify the Cost Element.
For example “CONT”, “MAT”, or “LAB”.

Description

A description of the Cost Element.
For example “Contractors”, “Materials”, or “Labour”.

Site

The Site to which the Cost Element applies.

A User with access rights to this Site can view and use this Cost Element.

Select a Site from the lookup list.

Active

Ticked if the Cost Element is active and available in a lookup list.
