Grouping records

Purpose

Organise records into a hierarchy according to the sequence in which columns are grouped. For example, you might want to group work orders according to their status and associated asset, in order to identify all the assets for which planned work is in the “Approved” state.

How to… Group records in a grid list

  1. Drag and drop the first column name in the desired hierarchy into the Grouped by: bar.

  2. Drag and drop the other column names into the Grouped by: bar in the desired hierarchical sequence.

- Example -

  1. Drag and drop the Site column name into the Grouped by: bar.

  2. Drag and drop the Status column name, followed by the Asset column name.
