Data fields

These data fields are captured or displayed on the Monitoring Point - Details tab.

Field

Description/Setting

General

 

Monitoring Point Type

The Monitoring Point Type used for the Monitoring Point.
For example “TEMP”.

Select a code from the Monitoring Point Type lookup list.

Unit of Measurement

The unit of measurement that is used for the Monitoring Point.

For example “Hz', “RPM” or “Degrees Celsius”.

Asset

The Asset for which the Monitoring Point is defined.
For example “AIR2”, or “Pump37”.

Select a code from the Asset lookup list or from the Asset Tree.

The description of the Asset is displayed next to the Asset Code.

Relevant Bounds

The Bound value (in the Bounds group on the Details tab) is calculated automatically if Bounds are based on Reference Value is ticked.

Bounds are based on Reference Value

Ticked if the Bound value is based on the Reference Value that is captured on the Details tab.

Has Upper Critical Bound

Ticked if the Monitoring Point Type has an Upper Critical Bound that will trigger an Alarm with the specified Alarm Type.

Has Upper Warning Bound

Ticked if the Monitoring Point Type has an Upper Critical Bound that will trigger an Alarm with the specified Alarm Type.

Has Lower Warning Bound

Ticked if the Monitoring Point Type has an Upper Critical Bound that will trigger an Alarm with the specified Alarm Type.

Has Lower Critical Bound

Ticked if the Monitoring Point Type has an Upper Critical Bound that will trigger an Alarm with the specified Alarm Type.
