Season message on Proposed Work Orders

Purpose

Identify an Asset Task for calendar based scheduling that is suppressed because it is not performed during the Season in which the Asset is currently operating.

Calendar and Season configuration for Assets and Asset Tasks

The Calendar associated with an Asset (on the Asset - Maintenance tab) determines whether the Asset is operating “In Season” and/or “Out of Season”.

The “In Season” period for a Calendar is specified as a linked detail record on the Seasons for Calendar window.

The Season setting on an Asset Task - Scheduling tab determines whether the Task must be performed in and/or out of season.

Conditions for Suppression

An Asset Task is suppressed because:

the Asset is not operating “in season” but the Asset Task must be performed “in season”, or
the Asset is operating “in season” but the Asset Task must not be performed “in season”.

An Asset Task will included in a Proposed Work Order if its Due Date falls inside the Season dates specified on the Calendar associated with the Asset.

An Asset Task will be suppressed if its Due Date falls outside the Season dates specified for the Calendar associated with the Asset.

- Example -

A weekly Asset Task is only required “In Season”.

The Asset to which the Asset Task is linked has an “in” Season set up on its Calendar from 01 October 2006 to 31 March 2007.

The Asset Task will only fall due between the dates specified for the defined “in” Season, and will be suppressed for all dates outside the “in” Season.
