Lock Stock Takes

Purpose

Lock the Stock Items that are included in the Stock Take so that they cannot be issued or received while the Stock Take is in progress.

How to… Lock Stock Takes 

1.   Click Material Manager - Stock Changes - Stock Take then .
The Stock Takes browse window opens.

2.   Highlight the Stock Takes that must be locked.

3.   Click .
The Lock Stock Take message is displayed.

4.   Click OK.

5.   Refresh the Stock Takes browse window.

As a result...

• A Stock Take is locked until it is committed.
• Locked is ticked on the Stock Takes browse window.
• Locked is ticked on the Stock Take - Details tab.
• The Stock Items that are linked to the Stock Take cannot be issued or received.
• For each Stock Item on the Stock Take Items for Stock Take grid edit window.
• • Locked on Stock Take is populated with the Stock Take Description.
  • The Quantity Locked from the Stock Item is displayed.
  • The Quantity Counted is enabled for data capture.
  • The quantity Variance is calculated and displayed.
• The Lock Stock Take button is disabled on the edit windows for the locked Stock Takes.

Business rules

• A Stock Take cannot be locked if one or more of the Stock Items have been included in another locked Stock Take or a locked Stock Revaluation that has not been committed.

Please note!

• A Stock Take can be locked from the Stock Takes browse window or the Stock Take edit window.
