Notification templates contain five tabs - Header, Query, Details, Notes, and User Defined Field Values:
Data fields
The Header tab displays the following information:

The unique code that identifies the site (defining user rights) for which the notification is associated with |
Use Query |
A checkbox indicating whether a Query applies or not. This query is used to define the fields which will be used to add dynamic text to the template. |

A checkbox indicating whether or not the notification is currently active |

If you select the Use Query checkbox on the Header tab, an additional tab will display - the Query tab.
The query fields that you have selected are used to pull in dynamic data into the notification. This data varies in content depending on the specific work order for which the notification is being sent. For example, the work order code query field can be added to the notification and depending on the work order that the notification applies to, the exact code will be inserted.
This tab enables you to define criteria that will be used within the notification:
To select criteria for use in the notification, select an option from the drop down list at the top of the tab and then select the associated checkboxes for any items that you want to use. The selected criteria will display in the right hand panel of this tab:
In addition, the selected criteria will display on the Details tab in the Available Query Columns section:
To add any of the selected criteria to the notification, drag the criteria to a location within the subject or body of the notification:
The Details tab enables you to configure the notification, including the type of notification, the audience, and the subject and contents.
