Notifications

Notifications are messages that are generated by On Key, and sent to recipients in order to provide information relating to specific business objects or business processes. The information included in a notification is defined using a template, which enables you to specify a custom layout, as well as static and dynamic content.

Notifications can be sent in one of two formats:

• SMS
• Email

Email messages can include hyperlinks to business objects in On Key, that when clicked, launch On Key and open the respective object's edit window. This makes it easy to access objects referenced in the notification.  

NOTES:

• Email hyperlinks can only be used to launch business object edit windows. They cannot be used to launch browse or detail windows.
• Users still need to log in using there credentials in order to access objects referenced in email notifications.
• Hyperlinks are encoded using 64-bit encryption.
