Operational Roles

 

The purpose of Operational Roles in On Key is to link a profile designers to a specific system known as Operational Roles  These operational roles can then be linked to a specific user

 

To Create an Operational Role, you need to do the following:

1. Click on the Operational Role Menu Item

2. Click the Insert New Record () button to open the edit window.

3. Complete the following fields on the Header tab:

Field

Description

Code A unique code that describes the Operational Role
Description

Describes the Operational Role

Role Type

This is a lookup of the following options:

  • Work Manager
  • On Key
  • On Key Express
Site

A look-up to the applicable site

Active

An un-editable field - Active / Non-active Status

4. Click the Save Changes () button.

5. Once the record has been saved, the Operational Roles Profiles link will become active.

6. Click on the Operational Role Profile Link to be able to link a profile to an operational role


7. Click on the Operational Role Profile Link to be able to link a profile to an operational role

 

8. Click on the add operational role profiles button to lookup the required profiles

9. Select a Operational Role Profile to link and click on OK to save changes

Please Note: There can be only one Operational Role Profile Linked to a Operational Role
