Re-assign SLAs

If changes are made to a work order after an SLA has been assigned, the criteria of the assigned SLA will be re-evaluated when the work order is saved. This will then result in one of the following actions:

Note:

The “new” SLA must be within its main measure range to be applied.

- Example -

Suppose the following two SLAs exist:

  • SLA1 – Query = WOImportance = HIGH
  • SLA2 - Query = WOImportance = LOW

If you have created a work order with the Importance as 'HIGH', SLA1 will be assigned.

However, if you then make a change to the importance of the work order, the following changes could occur:

  • If you change the Importance to “UNKNOWN” or 'MED', then no SLA is applied (SLA1 will be removed)
  • If you change the Importance to “LOW” then the worl order will be assigned SLA2 instead of SLA1
