Sections
Purpose
- Define the engineering and maintenance sections that are responsible for the maintenance work, the operations sections that are responsible for production, and other sections such as an administrative section.
- Sections can be departments or groupings within the organisation, or contractors that provide a service to the organisation.
- Sections provide one or more Trades to the organisation for maintenance, engineering, operations or other administrative tasks.
How to… View Sections
1. Click Staff - Sections, and then click
Browse.
The Sections browse window opens.

Implementation Guidelines
If the engineering or maintenance department is not divided into unique sections or areas of responsibility, then only set up one section.
However, it is recommend that the organisation is split into unique sections as it provides a convenient means to break down reports thus enhancing the value of the reports.
For example, even if a workshop has only one electrician, one fitter and one plumber; set up an Electrical section, a Fitting section and a Plumbing section.
