System Options - Proposed Work Orders tab

Set system options that apply specifically to proposed work orders.

 

The following table describes the system options available on the Proposed Work Orders tab.

Option

Description

Proposed Work Order Defaults

Days To Schedule In Advance

Specifies the number of calendar days in which tasks are to be scheduled in advance. In other words, it lets users specify how far in advance they want to plan and schedule work.

For example, if this is set to '7', all work orders that have tasks with a 'Required by Date' that falls within the next 7 days will be listed as a proposed work order.

Default Task Grouping Start Date

Specifies the date from which task grouping must commence. Tasks are grouped based on their 'Required by Date' and 'Interval Type'.

Use Grouping Intervals

This specifies the period in which tasks for the same asset should be grouped into a single proposed work order. he default grouping interval is the number of days from the specified Default Task Grouping Start Date.

Note: Grouped tasks must have the same 'Task Interval Type' and Proposed Work Orders selection criteria.

For example, if this is set to '5', then all tasks for an asset that need to be performed within the next 5 days will be grouped into a single proposed work order.

Proposed Work Order Status

Specifies the status that is applied to work orders that are created from proposed work orders if no default status has been specified for the type of work

Combine Labour Record On Single Task

Specifies whether a proposed work order's labour records should be combined into a single task when generating work orders. The following options are available:

  • Always Ask
  • Always
  • Never

Automatically Approve Proposed Work Order Spares

Specifies whether spares required to complete work order tasks are automatically issued when a work order is created from a proposed work order. If this is not enabled, work task spares will need to be issued manually.

Scheduled Work Order Description

Task Description Behaviour for Scheduled Work Orders

Specifies the description type that must be displayed for proposed work orders, and work orders generated from proposed work orders. The user is able to select one of the following:

  • Task Summary Only

  • Task Summary and Description

  • Task Description Only
