Site Types

Purpose

Classify or group the Sites within the system, specifically for analysis and reporting.

A Site Type is specified for each Site, and Site Types therefore provide an alternative or additional level of reporting and analysis for Sites.

How to… View Site Types

1. Click Shared Configuration - Site Types then Browse.
The Site Types browse window opens.

Implementation Guidelines

If analyses and reports are required by “Virtual” Sites and “non-Virtual” or “Actual” Sites then use Site Types “VIRTUAL” and “ACTUAL”.
Do not mix “VIRTUAL” and “ACTUAL” Site Types with Site Types that classify specific types of Sites. Use one or the other.
If analyses and reports are required by, for example, manufacturing sites, facilities sites and packaging sites then specify a Site Type for each of these classifications or groups of Sites, plus a “GLOBAL” Site Type for the organisation.
