Add Staff Competencies

Purpose

Add a Staff Competency that can be linked to a Staff Member.

How to… Add a Staff Competency

1.   Click Staff - Staff Competencies, and then click  Edit.

     The Staff Competency edit window opens:

    .

2.   Click + in the toolbar.

3.   Enter the required data on the applicable tabs.
Header
Notes, if required.

4.   Save the record.

5.   Select the Attributes and Documents that are linked to the Staff Competency.

Data fields

These data fields are captured on the Staff Competency edit window.

Description/Setting

Code

A unique code that identifies the Staff Competency.
For example, “WELD “.

Description

A description of the Staff Competency.
For example “Welding”.

Site

The Site to which this Staff Competency applies can only be used by a User with access rights to the Site.

Select a Site from the lookup list.
For example, select the non-virtual Site “EPPING” if the Staff Competency is only used by the “EPPING” Site, or select the virtual Site “VIRTUAL-GLOBAL” if the Staff Competency is used by all Sites.

Active

Ticked if the Staff Competency is active and available in a lookup list.
