Tasks identify what work can be done to:
Work Orders for an Asset include a list of Tasks that are executed at specific intervals or on an ad hoc basis.
An original or custom Task is added to a specific Asset Type Component or Asset Component.
A Standard Task is selected and linked to applicable Components.
Sub Tasks give structure to the Task that they are added to; they specify the step-by-step procedure to complete the Task.
For example, the steps that must be followed for the Task “Replace Bearing” are captured as Sub Tasks and listed in sequence on the Sub Tasks for Asset Type Task window.
Different Task settings on the Task - Rule Evaluation tab specify the Task’s dependency on its sub items (Spares, Special Resources, Follow-Up Tasks and Task Labour Records) when Asset Type Tasks are inherited as Asset Tasks during synchronisation.
Settings are defined for each sub item, and the default setting is “True”.
