Link Meters to an Asset

Purpose

Link Meters to an Asset, and display information about each Meter that is linked to the Asset.

Where to find

Click  then Meters in the toolbar on the Asset edit window.

How to… Link Meters to an Asset

1.   Click  then Meters.
The Meters for Asset window opens.

2.   Click +.
A new row appears in the grid list.

3.   Double-click in the Meter data field and open the Meters lookup list.

4.   Select one or more Meters from the Meters lookup list.
The selected Meter's Code and Description are displayed.

5.   Save the record.

As a result...

• A Meter that is attached to the Asset is linked to the Asset.

Please note!

• A Meter can be linked to any Asset.
• Configure the Meter for the Asset if it doesn’t appear in the Meters lookup list.
• Double-click on a Meter's code to open the Meter edit window and view the Meter's details. The Cumulative Reading, Last Reading, Last Reading Date, Last Reset Reading and Last Reset Date are displayed on the Meter - Details tab.
• Use Batch Update functionality to assign the selected Meter to all usage based Tasks for this Asset to which a Meter is not linked. Refer to Batch Update Tasks in the Asset Tree.
