Add Criticality Analysis

Note: Criticality Analysis is only available if the Criticality Configuration module is enabled. Check your On Key license to determine whether you have access to this functionality.

How to… Add a Criticality Analysis

Open the Criticality Analysis window for the required asset or asset type.
Select the component in the Record tab.
Click the Probability Code Lookup () button to open the Probability Code Lookup window.
Select a predefined probability code in the list and click the OK button.
Select the consequence in the Consequences tab.
Click the Consequence Code Lookup () button to open the Consequence Code Lookup window.
Click the Save Changes () button to save the criticality analysis and calculate the criticality values.

NOTES:

The values for previous criticality analyses will be displayed for assets, asset types, and components. Use the Change Log to view previous criticality values.
If an item's criticality value is adjusted, the changes will be automatically rolled out to ALL child items that inherit criticality from it, even if they have not been included in the criticality analysis.
When performing criticality analysis on multiple levels, only items that have a criticality model will be included. Child items below a parent that does not have a criticality model will NOT be included in the criticality analysis, regardless of whether they fall with the specified number of levels.
When a probability or consequence is updated, the criticality values are automatically recalculated for all linked items.
When a probability or consequence is deleted, the criticality value for all linked items is set to 0. A criticality value of 0 indicates that the criticality analysis is incomplete.
The Criticality Analysis window must be refreshed after changing an item's criticality or consequence in order for the criticality values to be updated.
The Criticality Analysis window must be refreshed if any of the included items' criticality model information is updated. This ensures that the correct criticality model information is used to calculate the criticality values.
