Link Sub Tasks to Tasks

Purpose

Specify the step-by-step procedure that is required to complete another Task.

Before you start

The Sub Task must be added to the Component or Asset before it is linked to another Task for the same Component, Asset Type or Asset.

How to… Link Sub Tasks to a Task

1.   Click  then Sub Tasks in the toolbar on the edit window.
The Sub Tasks for Asset Task or Asset Type Task window opens.

2.   Click + on the Sub Tasks tab toolbar.

3.   Enter the Sub Task details.

4.   Save the record.

5.   Repeat from step 2 for each additional Sub Task.

Please note!

• Linked detail records are only available after the Task is saved.
• Sub Tasks are inherited with the Task.
• Enter the Sub Tasks as free format text.
