Purpose
Select and link standard technical information that is configured for Attributes to items throughout the system.
Attributes can include the make, model and colour of an item.
Where to find
Click then Attributes in the toolbar on a browse window or edit window.
How to…Link Attributes to an item
1. Open the edit window for the item.
2. Click then Attributes.
The Attributes for “item” window opens.
3. Click to open the Attributes Lookup window.
4. Select the required Attributes and click OK.
The Attributes are displayed in the Attributes for “item” window.
5. Enter the Sequence Number.
6. Enter or select an Attribute Value for each Attribute.
7. Save the record.
8. Close the Attributes for “item” window.
Data fields
These data fields appear on the item’s Attributes for “item” window.

The Attribute that is linked to this item, selected from the lookup list. |
Attribute Value |
Capture or select the Attribute Value. For example “20mm” for the “Diameter” Attribute or “Forced Steel” for the “Material” Attribute of a Stock Item. |
Any Value |
Ticked if the user can enter an Attribute Value or select an Attribute Value from the lookup list of Allowed Values. Not ticked if the user can only select a value from the Allowed Value lookup list. |
