Add Alarms

Purpose

Record an Alarm situation and, if necessary, add a Work Order to respond to the Alarm condition.

How to… Add an Alarm

1. Click Maintenance Manager - Monitoring - Alarms then .
The Alarm edit window opens.

2. Click +.

3. Enter the required data in each of the applicable tabs.
Header
Details
Notes.

4. Save the record.

As a result...

The Alarm appears on the Alarms browse window.

Manual Alarm

The Safety Officer captures an Alarm to record the hazardous and unsafe condition that results from oil that is spilling onto the pathway from a machine.

Automatic Alarm from PMS

A sensor is attached to a machine to measure its current temperature.

When the temperature goes outside its specified boundaries an Alarm is raised automatically by the system.

Please note!

The origin of the Alarm and the details that it has accumulated during its progress through its life cycle are displayed in the Status group on the Alarm - Header tab.

What can I do?

These tools are available in the toolbar of the edit window.

Click…	To…
	Add a Work Order to maintain an Asset that has an alarm condition.
	Change the Status of an Alarm.
