Purpose
Trades are used to categorise the resources that are used for maintenance, engineering and operations, and they identify the type of maintenance work that is to be done, such as “Electrician” or “Fitter”.
1. Click Staff - Trades then 
Browse.
The Trades browse window opens.
Business rules
When the Trade’s Site is changed to a site with a different Currency then the user must convert the labour rates into the correct currency.
A Trade cannot be deactivated if it is linked to a Staff Member or Section.
Labour Rates for the Trade cannot be less than zero.
A Trade cannot be deleted if it is linked to a Section.
Please note!
Any number of Trades can be defined.
The normal hourly rate and three tiers of overtime rates are used when labour is allocated to Work Orders.
Labour rates are used to calculate the labour cost component of work that has been done.
