View the Asset Tree Legend

Purpose

Identify the icons used for Asset model nodes, Inheritance Status, and Development Status.

Where to Find

Click then Legend in the toolbar on Asset Tree window.

Scroll up and down if all the legend items are not visible.

Root node in the Asset Tree

Each User can determine their top or root node in the Asset Tree; the User’s Default Asset is specified on the Shared Configuration - User Security - Options - General tab.

The User’s Default Asset becomes the root node in the Asset Tree; it is the highest node and only its sub items appear in the Asset Tree.

If the User has not specified a Default Asset then the Default Asset specified for the Site becomes the root node in the Asset Tree.

Please note!

Only active Assets, In-Place Assets, Asset Placeholders and Filled Asset Placeholders appear in the Asset Lookup window.
An Asset is called a “rotable item” if it can be moved to different positions in the Asset Tree.
If the nodes are not displayed then click then Display Options in the toolbar on the Asset Tree window to check the display options.
