Specifies the various weights and importance levels used for work priority calculation.
The following table describes the system options available on the Planning and Scheduling tab:
Option |
Description |
---|---|
Work Priority Weights |
|
Use Highest Task Priority |
Specifies whether the highest or lowest task priority values should be used for work priority calculations. This check box is selected by default, as most On Key users use higher values to indicate higher task priorities. However, some On Key users do use lower values to indicate higher task priorities. In these instances, the Use Highest Task Priority check box should be deselected. |
Scheduled Not Done |
Sets the scheduled not done counter weight used in the work priority calculations. |
Task Priority Weights Note! You can assign negative values to the work priority and task priority weights. View the Calculating Priority topic to learn how the task priority and work priority are calculated. |
|
Asset Importance |
Sets the asset importance weight used in the task priority calculations. |
Work Order Importance |
Sets the work order importance weight used in the task priority calculations. |
Task Importance |
Sets the task importance weight used in the task priority calculations. |
Deleted Duplicate Tasks |
Sets the deleted duplicate task weight used in the task priority calculations. |
Scheduling Tolerances — The upper and lower bounds enable you to specify the optimum range for trade work allocation. Specifying an optimal range for work allocation enables users to effectively allocate scheduled work, while allowing some capacity for unplanned work. When trade allocation falls between the upper and lower bounds, the trade bar will be green. If it falls over the upper bounds, the trade bar will be red, If it falls under the lower bounds, the trade bar will be orange. |
|
Upper Bound |
Specifies the upper end of the optimum work allocation range. |
Lower Bound |
Specifies the lower end of the optimum work allocation range. |
Duplicate Tasks |
|
Default Empty Work Order Cancelled Status |
Specifies the status that should be used for work orders where ALL tasks have been deleted as a result of task duplication. |
Auto Scheduling |
|
Stationary Classification |
Specifies the classification that should be used for stationary exceptions in asset calendars. If a classification is selected, work orders will be prioritised and allocated according to their motion type when using the automatic daily allocation functionality. If no classification is selected, work order motion type will have no effect on how work orders are prioritised and allocated when using the automatic daily allocation functionality. Visit the Automatic Daily Allocation topic to learn more about how work is prioritised and allocated. |
Use Location Staff Members |
Specifies whether the automatic daily allocation functionality should only assign work to staff members that are eligible to perform work in the asset's location. If this option is not enabled, work will only be allocated to staff members in the scheduling event, regardless of their location. Visit the Automatic Daily Allocation topic to learn more about how work is allocated |
Automatically add task labour staff members to event |
Specifies whether you want task labour records' responsible staff members to be automatically added to the scheduling event if they have not yet been added. |
Publish |
|
Allow users to allocate tasks to staff members before the scheduling event is published |
Specifies whether users can allocate work order tasks to staff members before the scheduling event has been published, ie. while the scheduling event is in the 'Draft' status. |
Update scheduled tasks' Required By dates when events are published |
Specifies whether scheduled work orders' task labour records' Required On dates and times should be automatically set to the scheduling event's End Date when the event is published. |
Work Orders |
|
Unallocate task labour records when work orders are removed from a scheduling event |
Specifies whether responsible staff members should be removed from a work order's work task labour records when the work order is removed from a published scheduling event. There are three settings for this system options:
|
Only unallocate task labour records if the task has not be completed |
This system option is only available if the 'Unallocate task labour records when work orders are removed from a scheduling event' system option is enabled. If this option is selected, then staff members will only be removed from task labour records if the task they are linked to has not yet been completed. |
Only unallocate task labour records that do not have any time captured |
This system option is only available if the 'Unallocate task labour records when work orders are removed from a scheduling event' system option is enabled. If this option is selected, then staff members will only be removed from task labour records if they do not have any normal time or overtime feedback. |
Default status for work orders that have been removed from a scheduling event |
Specifies the planning and scheduling status that work orders should be reverted to when they are removed from a scheduling event. The options include:
|
Revert incomplete work orders to the default status when the event is closed |
Specifies whether incomplete work orders should be reverted to the default planning and scheduling status (selected above) when a scheduling event is closed. |
Automatically assign work orders to the staff member who has: |
Specifies whether work orders' responsible staff members should be assigned automatically. The options include:
Note: This system option only affects work orders that are confirmed as planned and assigned to a scheduling event. The updates will be triggered when:
|
Use earliest and latest task labour Required By dates as work order’s Start On and Complete By dates respectively |
If this option is enabled, the earliest work task labour item’s Required On date will be used as the work order’s Start On date, and the latest work task labour item’s Required On date will be used as the work order’s Complete By date. Note: This system option only affects work orders that are confirmed as planned and assigned to a scheduling event. The updates will be triggered when:
