A location represents a geographical or physical location, such as a factory, building, office, or plant, where assets are sited. Locations enable staff members to identify and locate assets, and they also facilitate reporting by specific physical areas.
The Locations browse window lists all the locations for the sites you have access to. To open the Locations browse window, expand the Main Menu, expand the Asset Register module, expand Asset Configuration, select Locations, and then click the Show Browse Window () button.
How to ... Add Locations
Open the Locations browse window.
Click the Insert New Record () button on the toolbar.
Complete the fields on the Header tab.
Add the required staff members and specify their sequence values.
Specify the location's geographic location on the Geographic Data tab.
Click the Save Changes () button to create the location.
