Adding Production Batches to Log Sheets

Adding production batch information to a log sheet enables you to specify the product that was manufactured during the shift, along with the production batch figures.

To add production information to a log sheet, you need to do the following:

  1. Open the log sheet edit window and click the Production Batches tab.

  2. Click the Insert New Record () button on the toolbar.

  3. Complete the following fields in the new record:

    Field

    Description

    Start\End Time

The date and time the production run started and ended.

    Notes:

    • A log sheet cannot have production batches with overlapping time slots. In other words, one production batch's time slot must end before another can start.
    • A production batch's start time cannot be before the log sheet's start time; and the production batch's end time cannot be after the log sheet's end time.

    Product Code

The product that was produced or assembled during the production run.

Note: Only products linked to the asset specified in the log sheet will be listed in the Products lookup window.

    Batch Code

The batch that the production run was part of.

    Note:

    • You must select a Product Code before you can select a Batch Code.
    • Only batches linked to the selected Product Code will be listed in the Batch Codes lookup window.

    Batch Group Number

Species a specific group in a production batch. Defaults to 0.

    Units Total

The actual number of units produced or assembled.

    Units Good

The number of usable units produced or assembled. This field will be calculated automatically if you have completed the Units Total and Units Scrap fields.

Note: Units Good = Units Total - Units Scrap

    Units Scrap

The number of waste units produced or assembled. This field will be calculated automatically if you have completed the Units Total and Units Good fields.

Note: Units Scrap = Units Total - Units Good

Note: Production batches can be configured with user defined fields (UDFs). UDFs are displayed as the last columns in the production batches grid.

  4. Click the Save Changes () button to save the log sheet.

  5. Add loss reasons.

  6. Add the asset parameter values.
